How to post a catch report by email
Updated 25 October 2026
If you are a captain with a Reelzy account, you can email photos and videos of a trip to [email protected]. Our team publishes them as a catch report on reelzy.co under your name, linked to your listing, and replies with the link.
How to send it
- Write from the email address of your Reelzy account. We only publish reports sent from the account email. If you write from another address, we will ask you to resend from your account email.
- Add your photos and videos, as attachments or as links (see below).
- Add a few words about the catch: species, technique, date and conditions. We write the report from your words.
- Send it to [email protected]. We reply with the link to your published catch report.
Links we can use
Instead of attachments you can paste links to:
- Google Drive files or folders, Google Photos albums
- Dropbox, WeTransfer, OneDrive
- YouTube, Instagram posts and reels, Facebook videos, Vimeo, TikTok
- Direct links to a photo or video file
Good to know
- Long videos: Gmail attachments are limited to 25 MB, so send long videos as a link (for example Google Drive) rather than attaching them.
- iCloud links don’t work: we can’t download from iCloud shared links. Attach the files or share them through Google Drive instead.
- Formats: iPhone photos (HEIC) and any common video format are fine.
Editing or deleting your report
Your catch reports are in the Catch Reports tab of your account, in the As a captain group: https://reelzy.co/manage-reports.
- Edit changes the text, species, technique, date, photos or videos.
- Delete removes the report after you confirm, together with its photos, videos, likes and comments. This can’t be undone.
If you’d rather we take a report down for you, email us at [email protected].
Prefer to post it yourself?
You can also create a catch report directly on the site at https://reelzy.co/catch-reports/new.
