How the chatbot answers your guests

Updated 20 October 2026

The chatbot replies to guests in your chats while you are busy: it sends one of your own answers by itself when it fits the question, and for anything else it prepares a draft that only you see until you send it.

What it does

  • Sends your answers by itself. When a guest asks something one of your saved answers covers, the chatbot replies in the chat straight away, in the guest’s language.
  • Prepares drafts for the rest. For other questions it writes a draft from your listing details and your cancellation policy. The guest sees nothing until you send it.
  • Never guesses. If your listing doesn’t say it, the draft says so and leaves the answer to you. For weather and tides it points the guest to the forecast on your listing page.

Messages the chatbot sends start with 🤖, so guests know it was the chatbot.

Open the chatbot page

  1. Go to Listings and click the robot button on your listing, or open your inbox in Hosting mode and click the robot button above your chats.
  2. If you have more than one listing, pick it under Listing. Each listing has its own answers.

The chatbot is on for every listing from the start. Use the switch at the top of the page to turn it off for a listing: guest messages then reach only you.

Add your answers

  1. Click Add answer.
  2. Under Guest question, write the question the way guests ask it, for example “Is fuel included?”.
  3. Under Your answer, write what you would reply, then click Add answer.

Keep one topic per answer and use short, direct replies. You can write them in your own language: the chatbot answers each guest in theirs. Switch an answer off to keep it without using it, or use the pencil and bin buttons to edit or delete it.

Let us suggest answers

Click Suggest answers. We write common guest questions with answers taken only from your listing details: what is included, how many people can come, which fish you target, your cancellation policy and similar. For each one click Add, Edit first or Skip. Nothing is saved until you add it, so check every answer before you do.

Review drafts in your inbox

When the chatbot has prepared a reply, a bar above the messages says The chatbot prepared a reply. Click it to see what the guest wrote and the draft:

  1. Change the text if you need to.
  2. Tick Also save to my answers if the chatbot should send this answer by itself next time.
  3. Click Send, or Don’t send to drop the draft.

If you simply reply in the chat yourself, the waiting drafts close.

See what the chatbot did

Under Recent activity on the chatbot page you see every reply the chatbot sent by itself and every draft, marked Sent by the chatbot, Draft waiting for you, Draft sent or Not sent, each with an Open chat link.

If the chatbot drafted instead of answering

None of your answers fitted the question closely enough. Add an answer for that topic, or tick Also save to my answers when you send the draft.
